“el ness byeklo ta y3isho, enti bit3ishi la tekle” is what I constantly hear. Anyone who follows me on twitter knows I constantly have food on my mind and I really am not a snobby eater… or a healthy eater.
I always order delivery or eat out; 95% of the time it’s junk food and 99.9% of the time my meals include french fries. So yes I’m not a snobby eater, but I’m picky about the non-healthy food I eat. I’ve been on the hunt for the best burger in town, which I believe I’ve found, but I’ve got to try one more place before I review burger places.
What I will be reviewing today, as you may have guessed from the title of this post is Lord of the Wings new menu. I was invited a couple of days ago, along with other bloggers and tweeps to try out their new menu. We were offered 18 items to sample and I must confess I did not try them all since some of them included veggies and I don’t come close to veggies.
The below is the menu of items we were offered (Pic stolen from Rita El Khoury. Thanks!)
As you can see there was a lot of food to try (which could explain why I’ve been having trouble wearing my skinny jeans since that night). I skipped the appetizers and salads because of the veggies.
The flatbreads were really good. I personally loved the BBQ chicken and would definitely have it again especially since it feels like you’re eating something light.
The wings… well you all know Lord of the Wings are simply Lord of the Wings. No surprise there. All the wings were awesome but the boneless Garlic Parmesan was extra awesome that we ordered seconds. (In my defense, I hadn’t looked at the menu and did not know what was still headed our way).
The burgers were good and are seriously worth trying. The Nippon chicken is an interesting one to try since it’s grilled (?) chicken with teriyaki sauce.
From the hearty sandwiches, the Pulled Pork…. mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm. I’m so glad someone is finally offering this sandwich is Lebanon. When you try this forget calorie counting, make sure you’re on a cheat day, or even better a cheat week. This sandwich, I mean what can I say, the meat, the sauce, melts in your mouth as you see the light at the end of the tunnel and someone welcoming you to heaven. I’m drooling all over my keyboard just remembering that first bite as if it was my first kiss. Yes, you guessed right, my absolutely favorite from the night.
Now, on to the sweet stuff, the dessert. Both the cheesecake and the caramel lazy cake were good but I have a weak spot for caramel and lazy cake so mixing those two was a guaranteed win for me and it truly was.
At the end of the night Lord of the Wings gave me 2 vouchers worth 50,000LL each to go back and eat some more but I would like to encourage you to do so (if this post hasn’t done that already). If you want to get your hands on one of the vouchers, all you have to do is leave a comment below (in the post please. Not Facebook or twitter). I will be using Randomizer to select two of you randomly. Please make sure you’re based in Lebanon and your info is included so I can contact you if you’re the winning number. I will be selecting the winner tomorrow at 6pm.
